Eight years after we finally have a remake with graphics which are better than the PC version’s graphics and also five playable characters! A few months later Capcom did a one eighty, and decided not only to release the game to the Xbox 360, but will also be available for PC. When Devil May Cry 4 was announced initially as a PlayStation 3 exclusive we were disappointed, as the screenshots and the gameplay videos seemed to show that this game will be something special, and awesome. PC gamers were only able to try out Devil May Cry 3, in a typical Capcom way, the port was a mess, which was put together two years after the original release on the console.

Fans can enjoy cutting down demons as the beloved character when Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition launches this November on Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5.The Devil May Cry series has always been the big star of console games: on the PlayStation 2 the first two games were a huge success, even though they were really difficult, and the third game even one upped the difficulty. The new edition coming alongside a new generation of consoles certainly complicates things, but luckily Capcom is here to guarantee Vergil for all. A pattern of the character appearing in special editions has certainly been quite effectively established, and it would have been a bold move for Devil May Cry 5 to break this pattern. Many Devil May Cry fans have been anticipating Vergil for a while now. A confirmation of Vergil for PC would have been nice, but this is still heartening for a lot of fans. Given how unappealing the box art for the special edition is, fans might not want it even if they have a next-gen console. Since the special edition isn't coming to current-gen consoles, this is definitely good news for Devil May Cry fans who don't want to pay hundreds for the new console. The stream can be viewed in Japanese below. No word about whether or not PC players can expect Vergil, having already been denied the rest of the special edition. He'll be arriving "eventually" as premium DLC.

The stream confirms that while PS4 and Xbox One players won't be able to enjoy all the benefits that the special edition upgrade offers, they will be able to play as Vergil. This severe lack of information was rectified by Capcom's recent TGS stream (via Destructoid). Following the announcement of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, a PlayStation blog post hinted that the character would be showing up in some capacity on PS4, but details were slight, and PC and Xbox One weren't mentioned at all.

Fans are already anticipating how the latest iteration of the ongoing Vergil tradition will function, and dataminers have been spending a lot of time investigating an exciting new transformation move that the character will be able to use.

He reappeared in a similar style in Devil May Cry 4's special edition, and is now set to do so once more in the special edition of Devil May Cry 5. Dante's infamous brother was playable through an Easter egg in Devil May Cry 3 and was added as a fully playable character in the game's special edition. While the special edition introduces a lot of exciting new features, the biggest selling point is definitely Vergil. Mysteriously enough, though, it will not be playable on PC.

The special edition of the game was announced earlier today in addition to introducing fan favorite Vergil it gives the game a boost for next-gen systems. Capcom has revealed that Vergil, the player character being added in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, will also be playable on PS4 and Xbox One as premium DLC content.
